(YET) TO BECOME is a dynamic exhibition designed to foster a collaborative environment for PolyU design students, transcending traditional disciplinary boundaries. In an ever-changing world, the complexity of design problems necessitates that designers no longer operate in isolation. Interdisciplinary collaboration emerges as a pivotal approach, propelling us, as designers, towards a realm of boundless possibilities.
The exhibition is located at Gallery B and C, podium of the Jockey Club Innovation Tower. It aims to spark students’ interest in interdisciplinary design and create an open space for students to communicate across disciplines’ boundaries. Students are invited to unleash their imagination using provided materials and contribute their unique designs to a plastic curved structure. They feel free to engage with the works of others by layering their creations atop. At the same time, the exhibition indicates dimension around the space and some selected disciplinary design terms are explained for students to acquire a common foundation design knowledge for collaboration.
